30.Accolades-1

NSS Training College, Ottapalam, Kerala had organized a National Seminar on the theme Energy resources and its effective utilization on Thursday,  11 October 2018.  Besides paper presentation sessions, the  organizers also conducted an Inter-collegiate Quiz competition.

The  College Union  at  IASE, Thrissur  had  just   assumed office…and  selection of a team to  participate  in the  Quiz competition  was  done with  meticulous care.

Thomas Paine once said:  “The harder the conflict… the glorious the triumph…”So when the participants  returned  to college, today  (12 October 2018)  they were in for a great surprise…In addition to receiving the certificates  during the college assembly, the College Union also gave the two participants who  stood first in the Quiz competition, special  presents.

On  11 October  the students of the Malayalam Optional  (BEd)  along with their Optional teacher, participated in ‘Kavithakalari’ a programme organized  with assistance from the Kerala Sahitya Academy… Some of them recited their own poems, which the  Academy  plans to publish!

Decades ago Martin Luther King Jr observed:  “Occasionally in life there are those moments of unutterable fulfillment which cannot be completely explained by those symbols called words. Their meanings can only be articulated by the inaudible language of the heart.” When  Thrissur was badly affected  by  flood, the students of the college lend a helping hand to the local government  by  assisting   them in packing  relief materials to be  sent to affected areas… All the   71 Students who participated  in the flood relief assistance  were given a Certificate  of Appreciation by the District Collector.
The certificates  were distributed to the participants during the College Assembly.

The student participation in the  flood relief  assistance in response to the call from the local government   was posted earlier … Please see Blog Post # 21 Flood Relief assistance
