National Science Day
is celebrated all over the country on 28th February every year, to mark the discovery of the Raman
effect by Indian Physicist Sir C.V Raman on the same day in 1928 .
The students of the Departments of Physical Science and Natural Science jointly organized a programme to mark the occasion. They made a presentation on the 2019 theme- ‘Science for the people and people for Science’.

Ms Soundarya (Physical Science), recalled the contributions of great scientists. An awareness session on food adulteration and the screening of a
documentary also formed part of the programme. The day’s programme concluded with reflections by Ms Shihana P.S(Hindi) and Ms Greeshma.V.G (Natural science) and felicitation by Ms Jishna Jayan (Physical Science)
