Rows of shelves
with thousands of volumes neatly arranged in
a huge hall with a mysterious
hush and a faintly ominous aroma of
knowledge....that’s what strikes a
visitor to the IASE library. But
that is soon going to change. With the
Internet making it possible to have the
library at ones
fingertips, it would soon become
possible for the students of IASE, Thrissur to access millions of books
via the Online access log in
window of the IASE, library.
The Institute has already subscribed for the National
Library and Information Services (N-List)
and the Institute Website has
links to several Online resources.
As in the
previous academic year, two Library Interns, Ms. Tintu Jose and Mr.Shaju
Antony joined the Institute recently through a
specially funded Government
of Kerala project aimed
at transforming the
college library into knowledge centres.
Their services is likely to be a boon
for both the MEd students of the
Institute and research scholars likely
to join on recognition of IASE, Thrissur as a Research Centre
in Education.
